ILLUSTRATION

Illustration plays a useful role in design. It can tell a story, describe a process, educate, entertain, and bring life to a brand platform. Illustrations can easily represent something which is quite difficult or impossible to film or photograph. Very often the presence of illustrations determines whether a text will be noticed and read.

GARDEN CENTERS ONLY

Garden Centers Only is an exclusive line of pottery aimed at garden centers. These charming illustrations bring this offering to life and counter the mass-produced feel usually associated with this category.

TYCO DUCT TAPE

Commodity items like duct tape can be enhanced through 3D visualization that easily conveys the construction and quality of the product. It's a humble little roll of duct tape, but doesn’t it look great?

THE CASTIN MAN

We developed the Castin Man illustration for a line of lead-free solder. It's reminiscent of a time when service was a priority, and excellence was the norm. Wholly appropriate for an old school product like solder.

HONEYWELL

Illustrations are useful to describe complex concepts or systems. These "cutaway" illustrations demonstrate how a product works by educating the consumer in a way photography cannot.

AIRBORNE GERMS

These nasty critters dramatically show the airborne germs that frequent your home. They appear on an air filter package and help convey the efficacy of the product contained therein.

TEKNOR APEX

We not only designed the packaging and shelf talkers for this line, the client asked us to visualize and render a planogram for a meeting with the retailer. This is a good example of something that would be impossible to photograph at this stage but can be convincingly rendered for presentation.

HONEYWELL

These products were still in production while our package design was being completed. With nothing to photograph, we illustrated the products convincingly based off CAD engineering files. The final result completed the package design and kept the project on schedule.

MOSQUITO MAGNET

Here’s another instance where the product was not ready for photography but the package design needed to be completed. We created a beautiful 3D render complete with mosquitoes.

HOWES LUBRICATOR

This illustration shows what a beast your rig will be when you use our clients product. It was part of a national advertising campaign.

INSTRUCTION SHEETS

Though not glamorous, instructional line drawings are a useful tool. They provide a unique challenge as we have to both understand the instruction completely, then explain it to someone who is seeing it for the first time (without making assumptions).
